      MEDICIS

Last week was dedicated to a Dy/Tb-155 run. 7 MBq of Tb-155 could be produce for shipping (this morning) to CHUV. The activity is compatible with what the end-user needs.

This week is dedicated to a double Ra-224/225 collection with a direct irradiation happening currently until tomorrow morning (retrieval at 08h45 am). Following discussion with Stefano, we could go up to 1.5 uA, but we will limit ourselves to 1.2 uA to not risk it.

The foils will be removed on Monday and shipped to Germany (224) and NPL, London (225).

Next week between Friday and Monday we will have a direct irradiation and will keep the intensity low (0.4 uA average, limit the number of ppp (how much? 1000ppp?)

      Targets, Schedule and Physics
Speakers: Hanne Heylen (CERN), Mia Au, Sebastian Rothe (CERN)

      Physics

      • On GPS, the week started with a beam development run using the ZrO target.
      • On Thursday, one day earlier than foreseen, 61Zn beams were sent to the ISS to perform transfer reactions important for astrophysical purposes. The run has gone smoothly and the users managed to get the statistics they wanted.

      Schedule

      • Schedule for the Ta-LIST run has been optimised to allow for more laser setup time between the COLLAPS run and the lanthanide LOIs ( see https://cernbox.cern.ch/s/7EUlnhPIxQkbV1P (tab: Ta-LIST options). --> if you have any comments let me know by tonight.
