Welcome to the 1st ROOT Hackathon event, that will take place at CERN, at the Idea Square: the Innovation Space of the Lab!

The Fixathon will take place over two days. Its goal is to solve or to provide a resolution strategy for the largest possible number of issues in the trackers of the ROOT project.

The ROOT Team as a whole will be driving this effort: we believe that this will bring more sustainability to the project and increase the development and innovation capacity for the benefit of our community.

In line with our core values of inclusiveness, and since we are an open source project, the event is open to all ROOT users and enthusiasts, irrespective of their level of experience and programming skills. 

Have you ever wanted to contribute to ROOT but never knew where to start?

Are you curious about how software development happens for large scientific, open source software package?

This Hackathon is a perfect opportunity to learn more!

Home cooked lunches and coffee will be available. A social dinner will be organised near CERN.
