Standard and new gas system

  • drawings from Mattia B.
  • update on mechanical status from Damiano
  • 5 module: 2 racks system, 1 rack compresso, 1 tank, 1 lauda

Urgent:

  • modification water pipes —> Patrick/Pieter
  • electrical line for Lauda (400 V, 32 A) —> Patrick

Missing:

  • filter for compressor
  • positioneur box for the valves —> Patrick/Gianluca to check for profibus PA
  • wrong zimmerli received
  • one MFC 4-20mA and one Profibus —> need profibus cable
  • equalising tank
  • two valves valco for cryogenics
  • equalising tank
  • to modify drawings: bypass of the tank, lines from exhaust to reinfect at input compressor —> Damiano/Mattia
  • mixer GEM to use for test —> to control with flowbus —> Patrick/Gianluca

Steps:

  • electrical box —> Patrick  2weeks elec
  • week 6 to build the common part
  • build new system —> 2-3 weeks of 2 persons —> Mattia and Damiano
  • plan of the SGX8 for the new system —> Patrick/Damiano

      Mixer

Un nouveau niveau LTxxxx  4-20mA pour une deuxième balance.

Un nouveau XMFC  ( 1206 ou 1209)   C4F10  Gaz  + PT1203 avant le xmfc =>  not a priority. Only for filling phase

      Pump

Un nouveau XMFC en bypass sur la vanne de régulation avec point de consigne uniquement en manuel ou dans la recipe .

An additional bypass regulating valve 0-100%

      Exhaust

        Mettre le XMFC 5002

      Liquifier

Un XMFC  avant la pompe 5802.

Un PT avant la pompe 5802 (after XMFC)

Un XMFC en parallèle avec la pompe 5802 ( point de consigne fixe, en manuel ou dans la recipe)

Un XMFC après le capteur PT5805 (and after the Zimmerli)

Une PT100 sur le réservoir liquide

Tous les XMFC sont en Profibus avec point de consigne en manuel ou dans les recipes ( pas de logique pour línstant)

les PT et LT entrées 4-20mA

      RICH1 questions from Christoph 20m

      RICH1:
When the gas system stopped, we had rather large pressure excursion. Is there a way to minimize such of behavior?
Looking to the relative humidity (dew point) inside the purifier (with the prob installed in 2022), one doesn’t see the same trend as the O2 prob. Any idea?
Is this prob measuring the RH in vapor phase?
If I’m right, the conversion from % to dew point temperature is done for air? Shouldn’t be better to express it in % RH ?
Would you have a factor conversion from % RH to the water content in the C4F10?
I’m wondering why the fraction of O2 is larger than 20 % of the N2 ? O2 is about 50% of N2. Does it mean the membrane separate better the N2 than O2?

Speakers: Maria Cristina Arena (Pavia University and INFN (IT)), Patrick Carrie (CERN), Pieter Vanslambrouck
