Invitation letter for institute purposes or events
Please note that this kind of letter is only valid for institute purposes/events and cannot be used to request a short or long term Swiss Visa.
This invitation will be the only document issued. If you plan to come to CERN and have no card de legitimation please note that a Convention d'Accueil is required in all cases as it serves as a work permit in France for nationals of countries who are not members of EEE
& who are not Swiss. If you don't have any please submit a request for Convention only.
How to request an Invitation Letter:
To start the procedure, the following information (together with a scan copy of your passport) is to be sent to antonella.vignes-magno@cern.ch:
- First Name
- Family Name
- Birth Date
- Birth Place
- Nationality
- Home Address and Phone (in the US if you live there)
- Passport no. and Type (ordinary or special)
- Passport Issue Date
- Passport Expiration Date
- Employer/Institute's Name, Address and Phone
- Exact dates of stay at CERN
During your stay at CERN
- Name of the Funding Institute
- Name of the Project
- Name of the Team Leader (TL)
- Name of your supervisor if different than the TL
