Mumbai is served very well by international airlines. The airport is always alive. Domestic connections to various parts of India are at convenient times. The time to reach the southern part of the city where TIFR and the hotels are located, after you land at Mumbai, will be about 2 hours minimum. Please plan your travel accordingly. If provided with flight details in advance, local transport for the airport pick-up and drop can be arranged.
VISA Advisory
Business type stamped visa on the passport is required to enter the premises of TIFR. Please note that e-visa will not suffice.
Please provide your passport details to the organizers at the earliest for a timely approval by the Ministry of Extrenal Affairs, Govt. of India. The visa application will be processed only after this approval reaches the Indian consulate/mission in your concerned country of stay.
Please note that you do not need to deposit your passport for many days to be stamped with visa. Once the approval is obtained, we shall inform you and then only you should go with the application.
Please inform the organizers if you face any difficulty in obtaining the visa.
