Meeting Logistics
Here you will find hints for the logistics of the event and helpful information.
Familiarize yourself with the CERN campus
While we do our best to accompany you during your visit, it is useful that you familiarize yourself with the campus and where the key places for the day are located.
We highly recommend using CERN maps (mobile apps for iOS and Android) to easily find your way around the campus.
Arriving at CERN
When arriving, come to CERN and go to the CERN Community Support Centre (Building 33). The building is located next to the main public transport stop and a car parking space is available to visitors.
At the Community Support Centre building, you will get a visitor entrance badge which allows you to come on site. An ID is required to pickup your visitor entrance badge.
- CERN Community Support Centre: The public transport stops are located in this area, as well as an external car park that can be used by visitors.
- Entrance B: Access via the pedestrian path on the right side of the entrance. The door is not automatic and a security guard must verify your badge.
- Developer Summit: The venue for the meetup is located in this area, as well as a restaurant.
Developer Summit Venue
The Ceph Developer Summit will take place in Building 513 and nearby buildings. Signs will be set up to guide you to the location.
Restaurants
There are two restaurants on site where you can buy drinks or food. The closest is Restaurant 2 (Building 504), which is just across the road. You can pay by credit card or cash in Swiss Francs (CHF) or Euros (EUR).
There is also a small rest room with coffee/snack vending machines next to the entrance of Building 513.
