Heather Gray | UC Berkeley

Heather is an experimental particle physicist working on the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). She is an assistant professor at LBNL (Berkley, USA). Her earlier career stages involved  University of Cape Town in South Africa, California Institute of Technology  and CERN.
She is currently serving in a high-level management role within the ATLAS experiment as the Data Preparation Coordinator. In addition to her physics research around the Higgs boson, she develops track reconstruction algorithms, algorithms for quantum computers and applications of machine learning.

Barbara Binder | CERN

Barbara is a dedicated HR Talent Acquisition Officer at CERN, where she works in recruiting students, graduates, and professionals while also ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for newcomers. In addition to her recruitment responsibilities, Barbara is an integral member of the Employer Branding and Outreach team, tasked with promoting CERN’s diverse opportunities to global talent.

Barbara’s efforts are particularly focused on establishing strategic partnerships with universities. She hosts webinars, presents CERN’s job opportunities at various events, and represents the organization at international career fairs.
