Description
CERN's specialized short pulsed DC test stand, called the LES, have been adapted to test the voltage holding of dielectric materials. Events such as current spikes, pressure increase and light events were recorded. Not only can we measure the maximum applied voltage across the material, but also indicate distinct behavior and help understanding how to handle the material without permanently reducing the votlage limit.
