European Condor Week workshop prep meeting


Attendees: Chris Brew, Christoph, ToddT, Alexandr, Cole, Michel, Mary, GregT


* New Sponsor (NetApp): current list: NetApp, AMD GPU, Lenovo
     Platinum sponsors get two tables. Gold one table, will be out
during breaks

* Do we need another reminder?  Maybe getting drowned out by noise
around various June 30th deadlines

* Perhaps announce open abstracts as an excuse to promote workshop?

* Other places to send our announcements?  Where have we already sent? 
Christoph will send out where he has emailed to

* Lodging recommendations?  Todd is not allowed at "Hotel Casa". "The
Manor" seems expensive, but bookable and close.

* Tutorial schedule is Thursday before in Utrecht, Monday of the
workshop @ Nikhef, in the afternoon.
     Christoph volunteers to help with tutorial on Monday, could use
other organizers to help out.

* Invited Speakers: Andrew Tannenbaum, Henry (ast's student), Renee
(former collaborator of MIron)

* Program:
      Perhaps reused themes from HTC24: workflows, condor over slurm //
overlays, el7 -> el9 transition, Pelican?, GPU, show your tool

* Todd and Cole will provide menu of talks by end of this week

* Miron will arrive Wednesday before the workshop, and leave the
Wednesday of the workshop

* Brian to arrive Tuesday of the workshop

* Next Meeting August 21st.
