Discussion about alignment (costs, lead times, foreseen hold points for alignment and strategy for training of TRIUMF staff with CERN FSI, etc)
TRIUMF:
Supplier Questions.
Q4. Who is your supplier of Ag plated A4 hardware?
Q5. Who is your suppler of copper braid?
(Cavity Support package) Blade Support Assy LHCACFAH0100 – Is there an existing procedure or best practice document to complete these welds while maintaining the cleanliness of the bellows to prevent re-cleaning?
(Cavity Support package) Blade Support Axle LHCACFVT0206 – The drawing specifies A4 material which is assumed to be machined out of a purchased M20 threaded rod but with a 1mm pitch, it wouldn’t be possible to have a 2mm wide weld prep. If this is to be machined out of 316L, are there any mechanical requirements to confirm when purchasing material? In case the component does fall into the category ‘non-critical applications’, to be confirmed by Teddy, the EDMS 2632333 applies.
(EDMS 2706475) “Non-Standard” Weld Joint Qualification – Section 2.4 states 2 samples per qualification are required but Section 11.4, page 12 shows 1 sample submitted for qualifications 1, 2 and 4, and 3 samples submitted for qualification 3 (orbital weld). What is the requirement?
316LN material procurement as it’s our biggest hold point.
