Access System Modification from LS3 until BDF commissioning

1   LS3 Modifications 

    () P42 dump installation ( in operation after LS3; it will be disinstalled once BDF facility will be in operation )

    () RP monitor will be placed at the TCD85-> TCC8  sector door

    () those will imply a temporary modification ( (inhibition?) of TCC8/ECN3 interlocks) of the safety chain

 

2   XTAX and (eventual) beam stopper in TCC2

   Action: Jean-Louis and Melania to check with Dipaniwta:

   a what exists now ( hardware and logic)

   b what it is needed to be operation after LS3 for the complete installation

 

3. P42 dump 

    to be assessed with Rui the safety logic (action: Melania)

    a is the P42 dump cooling is related to people safety or machine protection only?

   b. in case shall an additional magnet interlock been added to the safety chain 

 

4. EN-AA preliminary feedback on timeline and feasibility

  Phase 1: 
  LS3 Dismantling and decabling - it can be carried out, no impact on resources
  P42 dump - it can be carried out, no impact on resources
  TDR contribution (until end of 2025) - resources shall be further checked with EN-AA management 

  Phase 2: project execution - resources shall be further checked with EN-AA management 

 

5. Access flow in ECN3 - TCC8 ( point from Fred)
