To investigate other science applications of/at FCC-ee, four thematic "working groups" have been established (with some intermediate results expected end of November) as follows:

1. Photon science and photon applications including nuclear physics (FCC-ee booster as ultimate light source, collider-based Compton Backscattering Source, e+ linac combined with crystalline undulator, Harnessing the beamstrahlung for nuclear physics and others) ; coordinated by S. Casalbuoni (EU-XFEL), J. Byrd (LBNL), and F. Zimmermann (CERN) 2. HEP applications (e.g., QED, dark sector, ...) ; coordinated by G. Arduini (CERN), J. Jaeckel (U Heidelberg), G. Schnell (Basque U., Bilbao) 3. e+ applications (surface science & material science, Ps BEC, 511 keV X-ray laser ); coordinated by B. Rienäcker (U Liverpool) and M. Doser (CERN) 4. Multipupose applications of the e-/e+beams and beamstrahlung photons; coordinated by M. Calviani (CERN). |
