Description
This contribution presents the test beam characterization of the first DC-RSD production at FBK.
DC-RSDs are an evolution of the AC-coupled RSD sensors, commonly called AC-LGAD. The DC-RSD design is characterized by the direct contact of the metal electrode with the n+ resistive layer and by the presence of trenches to avoid uncontrolled signal sharing among pixels.
Sensors with three different designs, squared pixels with 500 and 1300 microns pitch and triangular pixel of 500 microns side, have been exposed to a 5 GeV/c electron beam at the DESY laboratory, and their position and temporal resolutions measured.
This contribution will first introduce the experimental set-up, present the analysis method, and then show the results obtained for the different geoemtries.
