2 VO Liaison CMS

Speaker: Katy Ellis (Science and Technology Facilities Council STFC (GB))

Katy has been away a few weeks, including FTS/XRootd workshop, holiday and Rucio workshop.

For the last ~month: Generally good operations for CMS. Went into drain 24-26 Sept due to Antares SAM test errors. Variable CPU slot occupation, but well above pledge as usual. Job performance remains very good. Some transfer failures to investigate. 

The new machine doing tape approvals had a problem (permissions) creating and listing directories in EOS/CTA, but this is now fixed by George and rules have been approved. 

Reported to Jose that CVMFS SAM test is now permanently (rather than intermittently) in warning state. 

Helping Raul run some transfer tests at Brunel today.

3 VO Liaison LHCb

• Reduced farm capacity becaus of the electrical maintenance
  • A few jobs were killed yesterday due to WN turn off, but that's expected
• Xrootd update on the farm has not yet started

4 VO Liaison ALICE

• ALICE VO-box successfully rebooted today.
• Antares now have xrootd space reporting.
