CERN’s 70th Anniversary

Past, present and future Georgia-CERN collaboration

 

Scope of the Conference
Over the years, collaboration with one of the world's largest research centers CERN (European
Organization for Nuclear Research) has brought many positive results for the Georgian Universities.
In honor of CERN's 70th anniversary and long-standing relations with Georgian institutes, a special
event will be held at the Georgian Technical University (GTU) in Tbilisi on October 16-17. As part of
the conference, a number of distinguished participants will meet with the Rector of GTU,
Academician David Gurgenidze, and discuss the already implemented project, as well as plans for
future collaboration. The conference will also be attended by the Minister of Education, Science and
Youth Alexander Tsuladze, President of the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia, Academician
Roin Metreveli, Director of the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia (SRNSFG)
and other representatives of the university's scientific community.
We welcome each participant and hope for further development of our scientific relations.

Conference Format
The official language of the conference is English. Attendance is free.
