The program is intended for undergraduate (last year) and postgraduate students who have compleated introductory laser physics courses and are interested in pursuing advanced topics in laser physics. The Workshop schedule will consist of the following series of courses on Laser physics and applications:
Theoretical Courses:
- introduction to laser physics.
- performance of semiconductor lasers under direct modulation for use in optical communication systems .
- laser applications in biology.
- Laser safety.
- Basic laser and optomechanics experiments
Experimental Courses:
- Fourier optics and holography.
- Workshop on design and simulation of optical communication system using optisystem software.
- Laser Ablation.
- Laser applications in biology.
- Nanlinear optics (z-scan).
- Basic laser and optomechanics experiments.
