Description

ATLAS and CMS have produced a number of searches for BSM pair production (usually in the context of SUSY -- di-squark, di-gluino, di-slepton etc). They have used a number of different ways - alphaT, meff, mt2, ptmiss/sqrt(sumpt) searches. This cross talk will hopefully begin by trying to give an indication of why the experiments haven't just done "one thing", indicating the problems that the experiments face, and will then attempt to promote discussion/thought on the best ways to proceed.
