CTA Workshop Session Locations
CTA Workshop morning sessions will be in Salle Bohr (Building 40, floor S2, amphitheatre B01). Lunch will be just across the road in Restaurant 1 (at your own expense).
The Thursday afternoon hands-on sessions will be in the Data Centre Meeting Room (Building 513, 1st floor).
CERN provides the MapCERN site and the CERN Campus App to help you navigate.
Shuttle Bus Service
There is a free shuttle bus service around the site in the mornings and afternoons.

Hands-on Sessions
If you are coming to the Hands-on Sessions on Thursday afternoon, you should bring your own laptop. We will provide virtual machines for the practical exercises, but you will need to use your own laptop to connect.
Site Access
If you are not in possession of a CERN access card, please indicate on your registration form that you need site access. You will have to complete a form to receive a visitor badge. This will be sent as a PDF document, which you should print and show at the entrance of the CERN campus.
Laser Pointers
Laser pointers more powerful than Class 1M have been banned in Switzerland since 2019. Checks for banned laser pointers are made at Geneva Airport and there is a very costly fine for carrying them. You are advised to leave your laser pointer at home. Compliant laser pointers are available for your use in the CERN conference rooms.
