On behalf of A3D3, UW-Madison will host a kickoff event for the NSF HDR ML Challenge. Participants in the challenge will be able to work on three problems related to anomaly detection: detection of unmodelled gravitational wave events, discovery of hybrid butterflies, and detection of anomalous tidal fluctuations. The winners of the challenge will receive a cash prize and be flown out to the AAAI workshop on anomaly detection. Here is a link for more information: https://www.nsfhdr.org/mlchallenge
At UW-Madison we will have a three hour kickoff event on December 4th, where we will describe the problems, introduce participants to Codabench, and allow participants to meet each other and discuss the problems
