The PIC-2025 Local Organising Committee is committed to providing a conference that is free from any form of discrimination, harassment or retaliation.
It is the policy of PIC-2025 that all conference participants conduct themselves in a professional manner so that all participants treat each other with respect and consideration to create a collegial, inclusive and professional environment.
It is the responsibility of all participants to create a supportive environment that best fosters scientific discussions and thus enables scientific progress. This Code of Conduct describes the basic standards of behaviour that we wish to uphold within our scientific community.
If you feel that you have been the subject of unacceptable behaviour during conference activities, please consider taking the following steps:
- If possible, and if you feel comfortable doing so, inform the conference participant that their behaviour is unacceptable. Explain what is bothering you, identify the behaviour as unwelcome, and state that you want the behaviour to stop. You are not required or expected to confront a person before reporting an incident.
- If the colleague hasn't complied with your request or has repeated the behaviour, you can make a formal complaint to the conference ombudspersons or to any member of the PIC-2025 LOC. The ombudspersons will prepare anonymised incident reports which will be forwarded to the Chair of the LOC for further action.

- If a conference participant observes inappropriate comments or actions and personal intervention seems appropriate, they should consider intervening. All participants have a role to play in building a culture of respect and should not hesitate to bring any concerns about this Code of Conduct to the attention of the PIC-2025 LOC.
