Who is the target? Smaller or larger projects?

Affiliation is probably more useful for lesser known projects. Still larger projects can benefit from the look of an outside eye. Also larger projects help to improve credibility of smaller projects. So useful for everybody.

Does the HSF see itself as a potential member of an advisory board or similar? Maybe even get roles in affiliated projects?

HSF already has taken some roles like these. No clear path yet.
