The 2025 CTEQ Summer Workshop and the 2025 MCgen CyberTraining Program

The 2025 CTEQ Summer Workshop on QCD and Electroweak Phenomenology and   2025 MCgen CyberTraining Program will be held at the Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI, USA 15-27 June 2025. The program provides a focused introduction to perturbative quantum chromodynamics, along with applications and recent experimental results. Additionally, the program will include "hands-on" tutorial sessions on Machine Learning and Monte Carlo event generators organized in concert with the MCgen Collaboration. The event is ideally suited for advanced graduate students and young postdocs.

Note: participants arrive on the evening of Sunday, 15 June 2025, and depart in the morning of  Friday, 27 June 2025. 

 

TRAVEL INFO: Travel from Lansing Airport is via Uber/Lyft/Taxi. Travel from Detroit Airport is via the Michigan Flyer bus. 

 

There will be a workshop registration fee of  900 USD, which covers the dorm and meal card for the duration of the program.

21 Exploring Gluon Dynamics in the Small-X Regime of QCD

Understanding Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) in the small Bjorken-x regime is essential for probing the high-density gluon environment relevant to future high-energy collider experiments. While perturbative QCD techniques like DGLAP evolution provide a successful description at moderate x, they be- come inadequate as x → 0, where gluon densities rise and nonlinear effects, such as saturation, emerge. This talk presents a study aimed at unifying the Parton Model and the QCD Dipole Framework—specifically connecting DGLAP and BK evolution equations—through a machine learning approach. By computing key observables such as structure functions and cross-sections, we seek to refine parton distribution functions (PDFs) and offer improved predictions for deep in- elastic scattering processes. This unified perspective paves the way for a deeper understanding of QCD in the high-density regime and supports experimental efforts at the upcoming Electron-Ion Collider.
