Simona Palluotto
I am a PhD candidate in particle physics at the University of Milano-Bicocca. I completed both my bachelor's and master's degrees at the same institution, focusing my research on the development of sensors for a new timing detector to be integrated into CMS for the high-luminosity phase of the LHC. During my PhD, I have also contributed to the search for Higgs pair production in the bbττ final state.
Giulia Lavizzari
Hi! I am Giulia, a PhD student from Milano-Bicocca, based at CERN. My work here consists in developing the software to acquire data with the elecromagnetic calorimeter of CMS, which is the part of the detector that captures the energy of electrons and photons, and will undergo a major updgrade in the next years. I also participate to data analysis, in particular I study the scattering of Vector Bosons and explore the possibility to find new physics through such processes.
