Brief introduction 10mSpeaker: Hidetoshi Otono (Kyushu University (JP))
HCAL: Imformation collected so far are all encoraging
- CAD drawaing provided to CERN integration team
- logistics from CERN surface commissioing to the experimental area to be considered
- [TODAY] Electronics (readout, trigger, and PS) info summarized with questions to USTC
- need to itemize task lists for
- [TODAY] Simulation update
- last presentation showes promissing expectaition to detect v_e interaction
- need to discuss
- trigger efficiency based on possible configuration
- position / energy resolution
- additional components, i.e, veto scintilator
- [TODAY] Inputs from theory team
- how we discriminate v_e from charm from v_e from light quark
- implication in nuclear / astophysics
- implication in particle phsics, e.g, improvement of higgs prod. cross from PDF unc.
ECAL: still need to understand how it works
- assembly itself in USTC takes time?
- high energy muon available (~1 Hz/cm2) in CERN surface area (EHN1) and the experimental site (TI12) is not enough?
- need beam test with electron beam?
- trigger rate?
- CAD drawaing provided to CERN integration team

Quick summary of HCAL electronics (trigger, readout and PS) 15mSpeaker: Yasuhiro Maruya (Institute of Science Tokyo (JP))
https://arxiv.org/abs/2005.00310 : This is the manual of the AIDA TLU module, which was used in the beam test.
・To be checked the protocol of Type-C USB? cable between DIF and DAQ
・Clarifications needed on external trigger data flow and documentation.
・To be checked if we need a beam test to retune a dynamic range?
・Suggestion to keep trigger rates low to maintain efficiency.
・Would be useful to know the trigger connections. Might need to have a something custom?
・Firmware on FPGA would be possible to be updated? Any engineers?
・To avoid beam background, if the trigger can be configured to only trigger on sort of high energy deposits?

Simulation update 10mSpeaker: Yasuhiro Maruya (Institute of Science Tokyo (JP))
・have to consider some background from the neutral hadron since we don’t have a simulation of no wider flux files
・uncertainty in Genie
・need to discuss how to discriminate charmed components among nue signals
・Any technical proposal?
・we would need certain resources to transport it to the location and for other things like additional power or readout
・Need to know how much time is needed for the commissioning in USTC
・For example, so in April, May, June, they can complete the surface commissioning in USTC and transportation takes two months
・Autumn like September, October we can start to commission in EHN1
