Suat Ozkorucuklu
Prof. Dr. Suat Ozkorucuklu from Istanbul University, Turkiye. He had join to CMS 33 years ago has been working on different sub detectors.
His manin involment started with HCAL and extended lately PPS and HGCAL. He is the team leader of Istanbul University CERN-CMS team since 2018. He has also his own R&D studies conducted at CERN and Istanbul, They are QFib (Quartz Fiber Timing Detector), VFD( Very Forward Detector).

As an experimental physicist, I have more than 15 years of experience and I have been working in the CMS Collaboration since 2009. My main objective is to understand the structure and dynamics of the proton in a precise way, by conducting novel measurements. During this journey, I have learned about particle-detector techniques, scientific computing, programming, and the statistical treatment of big complex datasets to extract relevant information and present it to a scientific audience. I am currently at CERN and have a leadership position at the HCAL Data Quality Monitoring (DQM) group. Moreover, I have been the convener of the LHC Electroweak Working Group 2: Jets and EW bosons subgroup since 2022. I previously convened the Standard Model Physics - Hadronic Physics (2020-2022), the Soft QCD and Small-x Physics (2016-2018) as well as the Small-x QCD and Forward Jets Physics (2015-2016) groups.

Since 2004, I have been dedicated to my role as an experimental physicist and an active member of the CMS experiment at CERN, which I began during my doctoral studies. My journey has encompassed a broad spectrum of tasks, from working on detector construction, commissioning, and testing, to diving into the intricate realms of physics data analysis. I had the privilege to join in the construction, commissioning, and testing phases of the Hadronic Calorimeters (HB-HE-HF) within the CMS project. Presently I am at CERN, where I hold a leadership position within the HCAL Data Quality Monitoring (DQM) group. This role allows me to oversee and contribute to the meticulous monitoring and maintenance of data quality within the Hadronic Calorimeter system. My journey in experimental physics at CERN has been marked by a dedication to advancing our understanding of particle physics, and I am enthusiastic about the ongoing challenges and discoveries that lie ahead in this dynamic field
