      Target Material

The number of leakage particles depends on density; a tungsten target is more effective than mixing it with lead.

However, we can evaluate the effectiveness of different materials. For example, neutron shielding often uses lead and concrete. Lead reduces the neutron energy, and then concrete stops the neutrons using hydrogen.

      Detector Geometry

Implementing machine learning (ML) is necessary to reconstruct the diphoton signal event. After developing the ML reconstruction algorithm, we can optimize the dimensions of the CsI crystals.

Additionally, we can evaluate three scenarios:

      1. Signal only
      2. Background only (leakage particles)
      3. Signal + background

      Plan

      • Optimize the detector geometry
      • Optimize the target thickness
