Operational issues:

• Failed transfers to antares last Friday (GGUS 682651)
  • Tape allocation stopped, resulting in archival space overflow
  • Fixed on the same day
• Failed uploads to ECHO from RAL WNs yesterday
  • Some problems with the new xrootd image deployment, fixed
• Failed transfers to SARA last week
  • SARA SE problem, not our fault

13:55 → 14:00 LSST Operations Report

LSST now has dataset DC2 at RAL which was setup last night and then subsequently tested from the LSST PanDA 
expecting update from this later today, will work with CM team to ensure these jobs succeed and future datasets and tests are moved and performed at RAL

(a whole 26% efficiency!!!)

 

 

Data movement to RAL OK, some files attempting to be moved from malformed register_in_place, will work with CM team that created this to resolve.

Writable WN gateways:

• Since this morning all LHCb jobs upload their output to echo via root (i.e. local gateways)
  • One side effect of it is that jobs running elsewhere will also upload data to echo via root, so increase in root transfers on external gateways is expected.
