Description

The production of Quarkonium is an important testing ground for QCD calculations. The J/ psi and Upsilon production cross-sections are measured in proton-proton collisions at the ATLAS detector. Differential cross sections as a function of transverse momentum and pseudorapidity will be presented. The fraction of J/\psi produced in $B$-hadron decays are also measured and the differential production cross-sections of prompt and non-prompt J/ \psi determined separately. Results are compared to predictions from perturbative QCD calculations.
