Description
We report on Drell-Yan production using data collected at the LHCb experiment with a centre of mass energy of $\sqrt{s}=7$~TeV in 2010. Drell-Yan events are selected with invariant di-muon masses $M_{\mu\mu}>10$~GeV/$c^2$. These measurements are sensitive to Bjorken-$x$ values as low as $1\times 10^{-5}$ and will provide important input to the knowledge of the parton density functions. The event selection and the signal extraction is described. The cross section is measured differentially as a function of the invariant mass of the two muons.
