Giovanni Organtini is a professor of experimental physics at Sapienza Università di Roma. After spending more than 20 years working in high-energy physics experiments, he began working in physics education with the aim of radically changing the traditional way of teaching. While still working on the CMS experiment at LHC (CERN) and the Padme experiment at LNF (Italy), he is recognised worldwide as one of the leading experts in active learning with Arduino and smartphones. He is also interested in the relationship between science and art for the development of innovative and up-to-date science education.
