All foriegn traveler(non-korean passport) to Republic of Korea with visa waiver program must do the K-ETA (Korea Electronic Travel Autorization) like ESTA for USA, ETA for UK and Canada.
K-ETA application is available only at "www.k-eta.go.kr" or the mobile app (K-ETA).(Application fee: approximately USD 7~8)
Please be careful of similar agencies/phishing sites that charge high fees under the pretext of providing K-ETA application agency (or expedited) services.
You can use K-ETA multiple times within the validity period.
Validity Period: 3 Years (if the passport expiration date is shorter than 3 years, valid until the passport expiration date)
However, the validity period of K-ETA is separate from the visa-free stay period, so if you enter the country with a K-ETA, you cannot stay longer than the visa-free stay period for each country.
The visa-free stay period for a single entry varies by country, so please refer to the [Countries/Targets Available for Application] page.
In general, the assessment takes 1 hour, but sometimes, it can take more than 72 hours after you submit of K-ETA application.
It (the assessment) must be done BEFORE check-in for flight. All flight agency confirms all passengers' K-ETA approval. You may not check-in your flight without approved K-ETA, if you needed to do the K-ETA.
