This workshop focuses on hands-on editorial work to refine and finalize the draft recommendations on best practices for open science and data preservation in high-energy physics.

The development of these recommendations has been a collaborative effort involving scientists and experts with direct experience in high-energy physics data preservation. The work is carried out within the framework of the Data Lifecycle panel of the International Committee of Future Accelerators (ICFA), drawing on the knowledge and practical experience of a broad range of stakeholders.

The draft is available in https://icfa-data-best-practices-demo.app.cern.ch/, and participants will actively contribute to improving and polishing its content.

Registration is for in-person participation, but remote contributions remain welcome, as they have been during the preceding editing process. Whether you are part of the editing team or interested in getting involved, the workshop offers opportunities to contribute in areas such as general language editing, improving motivation texts, checking dependencies and glossary definitions for different audiences, proofreading recommendation sets, and preparing the final web app deployment and the corresponding note for submission.

Join us to help ensure the recommendations are clear, actionable, and impactful!
