Abstract:
Jet production is the dominant hard QCD process at the LHC. Measurements of jet production and characteristics are important not only as tests of the Standard Model but also in the context of new physics searches. The substructure of high transverse momentum jets are also interesting both from the perspective of QCD and for discriminating boosted heavy particle decays from QCD jets.
Measurements of inclusive and dijet production, as well as the production of heavy flavour jets are presented. Measurements of observables probing the internal structure of jets are also presented and compared to QCD expectations.
