Abstract:

Results are presented for searches for third generation squarks via both direct production and gluino-mediated production in events with large missing transverse momentum and b-tagged jet candidates in √s=7 TeV proton-proton collisions. In both searches, several signal regions corresponding to different regions of kinematic phase space are examined. The data sample was recorded by the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider in 2011. The results are interpreted in the context of phenomenological new physics models.
