Abstract:

We discuss simple extensions of the standard model which allow unification of gauge couplings in such a way that the values of gauge couplings, top Yukawa coupling and Higgs quartic coupling at the electroweak scale are highly insensitive to fundamental parameters. In this scenario the grand unification scale is large enough to avoid problem with fast proton decay and the electroweak minimum of the Higgs potential is stable.
