🚀 Guide to Dealum

To make the most of Venture Day, we’re using Dealum — our online deal room — to connect partners and startups before, during, and after the event.

Why Dealum?

Dealum gives you early access to all participating startups (both pitching and non-pitching). You’ll be able to:

  • Browse detailed profiles with company descriptions, tech overviews, and pitch decks

  • Select preferred startups for curated 1:1 meetings

  • Communicate directly with founders ahead of the event

  • Vote live during the pitch session for the startup awards categories (investor access only)

Getting Started

  1. Access: You’ll receive an invitation link from the CVC team in early November.
  2. Log in via browser: For the best experience, open Dealum on your desktop browser (Chrome recommended). You can also access the app on your phone by following the steps here
  3. Explore: Review startup profiles in the "Funnel", shortlist those you’d like to meet, and indicate your preferences.
  4. Engage: Reach out directly to founders, and prepare for your meetings.
  5. Vote: On event day, cast your votes through Dealum for Best Pitch, Most Innovative Use of CERN Tech, and Most Impactful Startup.

Pro Tips

  • Check Dealum regularly — startups may update their profiles with new material.

  • Confirm your meeting preferences early to ensure the best curated schedule.

  • Use Dealum as your single hub for all event-related startup interactions.

📅 Dealum Timeline

For Startups

  • Mid-October: CVC team sends Dealum invitation links.

  • By End of October: Complete your startup profile (company description, tech overview, pitch deck). Each company should fill out as much information as possible for partners to view.

  • Note that you may add your team members to your company profile.

For Partners (VCs & Other Partners)

  • Early November-Mid-November: Partners to join the deal room, giving them enough time to review, comment and discuss with startup profiles and set meetings. From this time until the event day, partners can:

    • Browse all pitching and non-pitching startups
    • Shortlist companies of interest

    • Request curated 1:1 meetings

    • Communicate directly with founders in advance (Member profile) or use the Discussion feature to publicly post comments for all the attendees to view.
