Instructor, Professor Shih-Chieh Hsu, Director of the A3D3 Institute, is internationally recognized for his pioneering research in real-time AI algorithms powering scientific discoveries in high-energy physics, multi-messenger astrophysics, and systems neuroscience. His passion for hands-on learning and outreach has ignited curiosity and built foundational skills in AI and data science among K-12 students worldwide.

Teaching Assistant, Darin Momayezi is a Physics PhD candidate at the University of Washington, where he contributes both as a graduate researcher and a teaching assistant. He has supported courses such as PHYS 417A, focusing on neural network methods in engineering and physical sciences, and maintains an active presence in the department through office hours and lab sessions. Darin previously studied at the Georgia Institute of Technology and is based in the Physics-Astronomy Building at UW.

Teaching Assistant, Manali Sawant is a Physics PhD candidate at the University of Washington. She is interested in developing high-throughput and computational approaches to understand how cells integrate complex signals to control fate and function.

Teaching Assistant, Abdel Elabd is a Physics PhD student at the University of Washington. He has experience in high-energy physics, AI- and hardware-accelerated scientific computing, quantum computing, low-latency and high-frequency electronics, statistics and machine learning. He is interested in developing heterogeneous FPGA/SoC solutions for real-time analysis and control of complex systems and science experiments.
