Summary of the meeting on Wednesday, July 16, 2025

1. Suggested hotel reservations
   • Hotel Eda Oba. To reserve there, send an email to ventes@hoteledaoba.com, with cc Prof Amou mapkamou2@gmail.com.
   • Hotel Mirambeau and Hotel Katamatou: to reserve there, contact Prof. Amou mapkamou2@gmail.com
2. Excursions. Suggested options on Saturday, September 20, whole day. The LOC will provide more information of these options so that interested folks may select. The cost of the excursion is at the charge of the participants.
   • Tour of interesting places in Lome, leading toward Aneho
   • Kpalime and the waterfalls
   • Historical area in Ouidah, Benin (this requires crossing border into Benin and some people may need visa for Benin)
3. Reception and conference dinner
   • Reception, on Sunday afternoon, September 14. Light meals of local dishes (with a variety catered to various dietary considerations) and refreshments featuring traditional drinks will be served. Alcoholic beverages (beer, wine, etc.) will be at the charge of the interested folks. Traditional drinks that may contain alcohol (Sodabi for example, etc.) will be clear specified. Pork will not be served all cases.
   • The conference dinner will be on Wednesday, September 17.
4. Conference agenda and timetable
   • From the session chairs, we need to know by Wednesday, July 23, if there are time slots unassigned in their sessions. There folks who have requested more times for their talks; session chairs are asked to check with their invited speakers for final confirmation (or not) by July 23. We reserve the right to use empty time slots after July 23 to allocate more times to some talks.
   • We will have the full agenda in Indico for the next meeting on July 30—to be reviewed: we don't want to schedule talks with no-show later (neither in person nor online) when other talks may benefit for more time. It is important that session chairs review their invitations and inform us by July 23 of non-confirmed participation.
