MINUTES:
Update on on-going activities:
- Racetrack coil mock-up
- The mock-up was returned from the oven on July 16, however, no data has been obtained as of yet.
- Set-up: 1 pin on fixing the fixed pole to the mold, 2 pins + 1 screw fixing the floating pole to the mold -> Gap measurements are consistent.
- Gap change should be compared with other racetrack coils.
- Reaction mold disassembled:
The first pin was easily removed by hand, the second was removed with the aid of tools, and the third fractured during the extraction process. A weak point in the pin can be the source of this.

- Check if it was the right size of the pins.

- Currently, the mold is placed in the polymer lab and leak tight.
- Alternatives for epoxy for impregnation is going to be looked into.

- Aiming for injecting the coils next week in the polymer lab.
- Winding of the second one, to be scheduled for second half of August.
- Splicing sequence
- The length of the splice was increased with 20 mm, resulting in an 17 mm increased length overall for the Sarcophagus. Some modifications on the Sarcophagus needs to be done.
- Production of the Sarcophagus: Drawings needs to be modified due to increased length. Need to find thermo-couple, possibly buy a standard one and modify it.
- Tinning: New cutting method. Action: need to find proper material for the blades. Consider adding screws and spring.
- Splicing: Nothing new.
- BOND Structure overview of where we are:
- Components: Coil components for reaction ordered, 3 sets. Coil components for final coil, missing the instrumentation.
- Winding tool: Progress is in price inquiry.
- Reaction tool: Reaction mold is in the same package as the rest, but did some modification to increase the splice.
- Guiding table for reaction mold: Waiting for calculation, Federico has no time until possibly next week. Aiming to be done with drawings in one week.
- Sarcophagus: Drawing was ready but now it needs to be updated. Fabrication outside CERN, price inquiry needs to be done.
- Splicing: study is done, 2D drawing is missing.
- Impregnation mold: Under study
- Coil pack assembly: Not started.
- Ground insulation study: Not started.
- Mechanical Structure:
- Updated according to what Jose gave, 3D model has been updated.
- New bladder geometry: The detailed designed for the incapsulated structure around the bladder is in progress. Action: Purchase the tubes.
- New thickness of Keys needs to be confirmed with Jose.
- Action: Order shell as soon as possible.
