Information for conference participants

Access to the DESY Campus

DESY operates an open campus policy during normal working hours. You can enter the campus without any prior identification or registration. Off working hours you may be asked for identification. Maps of the campus are available at the two entry points. The personnel at the gates will be happy to assist you to find your destination on site. During the conference days signs will be posted directing you to the main conference locations.

Food services on Site

DESY operates a canteen on site, which is located directly opposite the main conference location. Participants are responsible for their own lunches and dinners during the conference, which they may take at the canteen, or at numerous restaurants located outside the campus. Throughout the day limited food service is available from the cafeteria, located next to the canteen. In the evening the DESY Bistro offers food and drinks. On Thursday evening the conference dinner will take place in downtown Hamburg. Detailed instructions will be distributed at the registration desk during the conference. During breaks coffee, tea and refreshments will be served.

Access to the internet

Free access to wireless services will be available to participants during the conference. You will receive instructions on how to connect when you register at the conference desk. No advance registration is needed.
