Europe/Zurich

Present: Alain, Aymeric, Denisse, Karol, Ivan, Michal, Richard

Report on PICv2 (Alain)

  • Integration drawings missing: CIPMC/P, rear panels for CIPSA/CIPSB and CIPST, patch panels (concentrator)
  • Production:
    • Prepare a list with the connectors and cables needed for the production of patch panels, rear panels and cables.
    • Consider early procurement of Burndy connectors due to long lead times.
    • Outsource the assembly of cables needed for points 1, 5 and 7 (together with WIC cables)
  • Software: UNICOS Point 8 deployed with BIS interface test mode does not fully work
  • ACTION(Alain): Prepare a list with the connectors and cables needed for the production of patch panels, rear panels and cables.
  • ACTION (Richard, Alain): Optimise storage space in 281 to reception Schroff crates
  • ACTION (Denisse): Sign up for the CATIA/PLM training to be able to design the new integration drawings for PICv2

Report on PICv2 (Karol)

  • Test crate mechanics is well advanced
  • We need to prepare the cables to link the PCB and the Burndy connectors on the rear panel
  • The software architecture is being prepared and the software is planned to be ready for the arrival of the TCC board (~mid November)
  • ACTION (Karol): Provide the cabling diagrams to Denisse to assemble the cables

Report on WICv2 NA (Aymeric)

  • Points to be clarified with EN-EL: List of WCC to protect, cabling convention for the Harting 75-pin connectors
  • Points to be clarified with TE-MSC: Diagnostics on MSSB splitters in TT21, change from 2-ch to 1-ch interlock boxes in TT81/82/83, HI-ECN3 plugin based magnets and protected by Elettas?
  • Points to be clarified with Integration team: functional positions of all racks in TDC2, TCC2, TT81/82/83
  • We need the clarification of the points above to be able to finalise the infrastructure requests and documentation
  • Prepare the list of cables and 1-ch interlock boxes that need to be produced and launch the procurement of the parts (connectors, etc)
  • ACTION (Aymeric): Contact the CERN stores to add the Harting 75-pin connectors to the catalogue
  • ACTION (Aymeric): Prepare the list of cables and 1-ch interlock boxes that need to be produced
  • ACTION) (Ivan): Request a budget code for HI-ECN3 WIC project

Report on WICv2 Rad-Tol (Michal)

  • Infrastructure is fully ready for TI8, TT40 and TT41
  • Production is still pending for DIOT rad-tol crates for TI8, TT40 and TT41. Patch panels in production with Raphael, who will take care of the assembly.
  • Software: UNICOS and SCADA ready. Python scripts are being developed
  • Open points to be followed up with BE-CEM; RaToPuS DC-DC production and Rad-Tol System board

  • Write functional specifications of both the standard and Rad-Tol WIC2 solutions
  • BTY line and AD: Engineering specifications almost ready but activities not yet in the planning
  • AWAKE: Layout of the 2 electron lines will be ready soon, need to produce DIC request and define budget estimate
  • BGI project: Waiting for ECR to be circulated (end of the year), then produce DIC request
