Description

The ANUBIS experiment is a proposed transverse LLP experiment that would be located on the ceiling of the ATLAS cavern, in the LHC. Its sensitivity to an uncharted region of LLP phase-space, favouring high lifetimes and heavy mediators, compliments the sensitivity of general-purpose detectors as well as longitudinal ones. ProANUBIS, the prototype version of ANUBIS, has been taking data in the ATLAS cavern since 2024. It consists of one of the many unit modules that would form ANUBIS. The configuration of the unit module will have a profound impact on the sensitivity and performance of the full ANUBIS detector. Therefore, in this poster, toy MC simulations of two-electron vertices in proANUBIS will be used to perform a hyperparameter search on different parameters of the ANUBIS unit module, such as the RPC structure, the distance between RPCs, or the staggering of the RPCs. Three different figures of merit will be used to compare the results: the toy vertex reconstruction efficiency, the toy longitudinal vertex position resolution and the toy transverse vertex position resolution. The resulting contour plots will be used to study correlations between the different figures of merit, and identify promising configurations for the ANUBIS module.
