Europe/Zurich
Description

Discussion sur le test / script / trigger system.

Installation BI almost OK

  • FEC for timing
  • All Interfaces tested (PS, trigger, lamps)

2 documents prepared to be discussed

Dry run Test CHARM 2025_10_15:

Voila les photos en attachement pour info en attendant celles avec votre hardware!

Comme discute, RDV mercredi matin au petit parking a droite de l’entree B, 150m apres le Globe.

Me prevenir ~30 minutes avant si possible: SMS Stephane: 075 411 49 41

4.4

  1. What happens during 10 minnutes? à Nothing. To be checked that the camera is not power cycled for too long. Limit number of power cycles then send info for expert check.
  2. Counter definitions ? Not discussed here but it was before. Is there a summary of these (counter power cycle / OCP counter, etc…)
  3. What is done by an operator every day? Check image from time to time. If image also saved in server, CERN can also monitor image quality
  4. Save on server ! à https:/cernbox.cern.ch/s/bVzJK6dEYtQ6D7v (should be set as a public link: to be tested)

7.1 Diagram test setup missing à Layout instead of diagram here, no? Diagram will be in section 4.5

7.4 Step 14 and 15 optional (final voltage + trigger ?) à no need in the CHARM test as CERN provides trigger and voltage is OK with 10 to 12V on bpol modules. Monitoring Voltage and current every acquisition (simple read PSU) is enough. It is probably important to read PSU values always at the same time of the sequence as it may vary depending on what task the camera is processing… (proposal: read when arm is set i.e. waiting for the trigger)

7.6: Lights will be installed around each camera

A set of 2 lamps – DC 24V/5W - will be installed around each camera to provide a stable illumination of the imaging target.

A dedicated (remote) power supply will be installed by CERN.

7.7 PSU wiring: Coax or 4 wires?? à Coax

8 Once a day ? To be discussed, I am not sure I get it correctly.  if an error occurs, it should be seen ASAP not to lose beam time otherwise it corrupts the assessment of the performance of the cameras, isn’t it?
