Workshop

This workshop focuses on the discussion of 4D tracking detector technologies, with particular emphasis on the development and performance of LGAD and AC-LGAD sensors and the path toward their monolithic integration.

A central motivation of the workshop is to bring together the community to review the progress achieved so far in LGAD and AC-LGAD detector development, exchange experience from ongoing R&D, and explore future directions toward fully monolithic implementations. The program is designed to foster in-depth technical discussion and collaboration across sensor design, readout electronics, and system integration.

To support these goals, the workshop will include invited talks from leading experts in monolithic detector technologies, as well as hands-on sessions covering TCAD and Virtuoso design tools and practical ASIC operation in a laboratory environment.

As part of the US–Japan collaborative research framework, the workshop provides a platform to strengthen international partnerships, promote knowledge exchange between the two communities, and advance joint efforts toward the next generation of high-performance 4D tracking detectors.

Venue and location

The workshop will take place at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa, the largest campus of the UH system and only R1 university in the state of Hawai'i. The Manoa valley is located just north / inland (mauka) of the Waikiki and Mo'ili'ili areas of Honolulu.
