    Preliminary minutes:

    9 participants: CERN [Marcus Jankowski, Maarten Van Dijk, Bastien Rae, Nicolas Guillotin, Xavier Palle Lopez], MADMAX [Pierre Karst, Christoph Krieger, Bela Majorovits, Pascal Pralavorio]

    Main points of discussion / information :

    • Planning of North Area for LS3 still in progress but close to completion -- but still in evolution finalized after Chamonix workshop end of Jan 2026. Three possible slots identified for now (TBC after Chamonix):
      • December 2026 - February 2027
      • August 2027
      • September 2028 - June 2029
    • MADMAX Cryostat being repaired by the company. Site Acceptance test foreseen in Q1 2026. Following the acceptance safety document needed for CERN will be updated. Availability of the cryostat at CERN foreseen for Q2 2027.
    • MADMAX will need a cooling water plant to run. Jani Lehtinen to be contacted to enquire about the possibilities

     

    Next CERN-MADMAX meeting planned after the Chamonix Workshop to finalize the dates [Doodle to be sent in January]. If need be before, MADMAX can present at EATM meetings.
