  • Expression of Interest submitted in September 2025 in the SPSC ; Waiting for the minutes ; 
  • No-beam experiment ; "Similar" to MADMAX ; 
  • Device (cryostat) necessary services : 
    • Power ; Babette to define the exact numbers ; 
    • Cooling water ; Babette to clarify the temperature and pressure quality, with Wolfgang Wernsdorfer from KIT ; --> We need discussions with EN-CV
    • Pressurized air for valves : Babette to clarify with Wolfang ; 
    • EN-HE - Crane ;  Igor to follow with Angel Rodríguez
    • Ethernet (GPN) network availability ; 
    • Control room with basic services ; (HNA-383/386)
  • M1-related necessary services : 
    • Deminerized water for the PS ;
    • Compressed air (for the magnet controls) ;
    • Air conditoning in the control-room ; AUG / AUL operational 
    • Cooling water ;
    • Cryogenics - He supply (TE-CRG) -- They 2 months in advance warning, three weeks to cool down the magnet. ;
    • Electricity / PS of the magnet in the galleries but also in the PPE172  ;
    • Controls - Local run in the control computer (EP-DT) - Need to inform them in-advance

 

Planning Discussion: 

  • In the letter of intent, 6 months minimum are necessary from the physics point of view (not consecutive)
  • M1 power supply is not in BA81, is in EHN1. In the racks next to HNA-372 (so only EN/EL constraints)

    • Between September 2026 and June 2027 impossible (no magnet operation, but access/ installation possible)
    • From June 2027 and September 2027 possible (pending CRG and EN-EL availability)
    • From September 2027 up to June 2028 impossible (no magnet operation, but access/ installation possible)
    • June 2028 up to April 2029  possible (pending CRG and EN-EL availability)

 

Action: 

  • Igor and Babette to clarify the possibility for the two available slots ;
  • Igor and Babette to provide a specification for Cooling water, Power and Transport details 
  • Igor and Babette contact D. Banerjee and you organize a presentation in EATM (Experimental Area Technical Meeting) if this is necessary
