Description
Role-based access control provides a scalable and centralized approach to authorization in distributed data-management systems by shifting the focus from individual accounts to user responsibilities. In Rucio, it extends existing permission mechanisms with scope-level controls, applies the least-privilege paradigm, and provides a generic foundation for authorizing any type of operation.
