"Data Science Applications in Physics" Balkan Spring School in Tirana 2026

The seventh edition of the School on Data Science aims to bring together students and early-career researchers from different countries who study and work in the field of physics and interdisciplinary sciences. It will be dedicated to an application-oriented spectrum in Physics, such as Elementary Particles, Astroparticles and Medical Physics.

The School is organized by the National Institute of Physics, the Academy of Sciences of Albania, and the Department of Physics, Faculty of Natural Sciences, University of Tirana. It is supported by the Polytechnic University of Bari, the National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN), Bari Section, the University of Pristina, Kosovo, ECAP-FAU, Germany, Institute for Corpuscular Physics, Spain and Royal Berkshire Hospital, UK.

The School will include lectures and hands-on sessions in the above-mentioned fields, with a focus on data analysis. It will take place from April 21 to 24, 2026, and international students are also invited to apply, with preference given to applicants from Balkan countries. Applications will be open until April 10, 2026.

Participation this year will be available in person and online, free of charge, and all participants will receive a certificate at the end of the School.
