- The measurements uploaded in https://edms.cern.ch/document/3406593 have a precision ~0.1 mm
- Still some uncertainties in the design that can't be answered ;
- The consensus is the design radius is 12 mm and 8.0 mm between the center of the cylinder and bottom plate as measured.
- Collective discussion went on:
- Nikos agreed to not go for 24 mm diameter as today, but rather for 15 mm as a compromise between field quality & risk
- The thickness of the blade plays no role for the beam (only slightly increases losses) but very important for the field stability --> 3 mm
- From the beam point of view, the radius at the bottom point (oblong) is better in further improving the beam quality --> OK (to be included in the new design)
- Total height (opening) no smaller than 15mm given the size of the beam in the BTV ;
- Alignment-wise, the groove can be measured and used as reference for alignment.
