The UNSA University of Sarajevo hosts the following events focusing on particle accelerator and their practical applications for the benefit of society.
(1) Welcome and Networking: 22 September 2026, 9:00-13:00
(2) Scientific Workshop on Low Energy Accelerators: 22 to 24 September 2026
(3) Challenge Based Innovation: 22 September to 1 October 2026
The aim is to create a platform to facilitate initiatives related to particle accelerators involving academia and research, industry representatives, societal and political actors.
During the Welcome and Networking event, academia and political authorities as well as invited keynote speakers will highlight the importance of science and fundamental research for the progress and wellbeing of the broader society.
The Workshop on Low Energy Accelerators will establish connections of scientists of the region and expert european institutes, with mutual interests, supporting capacity building.
In parallel, the Challenge Based Innovation will give to selected students the opportunity to imagine innovative applications of Low Energy Accelerators, from concept to market.
